Nasri's Arsenal future uncertain?

6th June 2011 - Chad Lazarus

The future of Samir Nasri at Arsenal has been cast into doubt, with the Frenchman admitting that he may not commit to a new deal.

Nasri was one of the club's stand-out players during their football games in the 2010/2011 season and was nominated for the PFA player of the year award.

In an interview with the French sports programme Telefoot, he said: "I don't know if I will sign a new contract, the discussions are ongoing."

A discussion over a potential move to Arsenal's rivals Manchester United was also brought up.

Commenting on the rumour, Nasri told the programme: "Do I want to go to United? First, we should see if it's real and concrete."

Since his arrival at Arsenal in 2008, Nasri has scored 27 goals in 124 appearances.

Last season was his best yet at the club, with the attacker grabbing 15 goals and finishing as their second-highest scorer behind Robin van Persie.
