Football manager Jose Mourinho willing to risk Cristiano Ronaldo
5th April 2011 - Berko Tau
Real Madrid football manager Jose Mourinho could be set to play star forward Cristiano Ronaldo against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League.
The two sides meet for the first time in the competition at the Bernabeu tonight (April 5th), with the Madrid side suffering a number of injury worries.
Ronaldo has not played in nearly three weeks due to a hamstring injury, while Brazilian Kaka is still struggling with a knee problem and France striker Karim Benzema has been ruled out with a thigh strain.
Football manager Mourinho may decide to risk Ronaldo and has included him in the squad for the crunch clash.
He explained: "If Cristiano plays, it is because he and I risk it.
"It's a game in the most important club competition in the world and there's no lack of motivation."
This is the first time in seven years that Real Madrid have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while this campaign is Spurs' first ever in the competition.
