Carlo Ancelotti praises strikers' Champions League football game performance
23rd February 2011 - Sigvard Magnus
Chelsea football manager Carlo Ancelotti heaped praise on his strike force, following their 2-0 victory over FC Copenhagen in last night's Champions League football game.
The Italian even took time to reassure new striker Fernando Torres, who has yet to score for the Blues in a football game since his move from Liverpool, that his goal drought is not a problem.
Ancelotti watched Frenchman Nicolas Anelka put two goals past Copenhagen goalkeeper Johan Wiland, bringing the veteran striker on level terms with Inter Milan's Samuel Eto'o on the list of the tournament's top scorers.
He said: "Fernando is doing better game by game. If he doesn't score, it isn't a problem.
"Anelka was able to score and Torres had a lot of opportunities that he created with his movement. Fernando will score in the next game."
Chelsea are set for another staunch test in their Premier League football game next week, when they host league toppers Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
