Pre-Season Training
Today sees an exciting time for Football Superstars and our community as we charge headlong into "pre season training". This new release includes an all new looking PDA, new characters for you to interact with in the FS Clubhouses and a wide range of improvements, all based on lots of fantastic contributions from our community over the last couple of months.
Better Performance
With our community's help, we have identified a huge number of performance related issues and fixed a significant amount of crashes that will improve stability for the servers and players. We also have an-all new shiny installer that will simplify the download process, and make getting the game and patching easier than ever.
During the last months many of you have helped identify a number of balancing inconsistencies and we have tweaked a range of areas, from experience and money gain to ELO ratings and man of the match awards in our quest to reach rating nirvana. This is of course an ongoing process, so please keep leaving feedback if you think something doesn't make sense.
New Game Features
In addition to making the game smoother, faster and easier to install, we have also included a few subtle, yet important changes to help make your game experience EVEN better than before.

Defence is the new attack!
- PDA - We are proud to be able to announce that along with Puma and Reebok, Nokia have joined the list of big name companies partnering with CyberSports. Nokia brings to you the stylish N96 to helping you to navigate around the Football Superstars world. Everything you had in the previous PDA will be found with all new fancy buttons. You will also find a new addition, the N-Gage button, which will allow all the lucky folk with an N-Gage enabled phone to download some of the latest and greatest games from Nokia's site and install them from your PC. For those without an N-Gage enabled phone you will be able to see what all the fuss is about before going out and upgrading your current handset :)
- Match Finders – Players will now find their team mascot offering FS club games in the club area for each team making competitive matches easier to initiate. Click on these comically dressed characters as you would the kick about organisers to open the FS Club match finder.
- Something to get you on your way - Every new superstar will start off with some pocket money, and the price of drinks has been addressed so no more playing 100 matches before buying your first orange juice!
- Talking of money... we will be soon turning on the ability to purchase Football Superstars Bonds! So if you fancy setting yourself apart by buying an Avralan suit then now would be the time to buy some bonds and convert them into FS Dollars, we will be giving you 1000 FSD for every bond you exchange using the FS Exchange feature found in your Nokia PDA.
- ELO – A completely revamped ELO system means a more efficient rewards system. Gone are the days of a 3 a side being as profitable as a 5 a side in respect of league position, the more people in a match the more ELO points you will receive.
- Ratings – Ball hogs beware, possession is no longer rewarded. It doesn't matter how long you can hold onto the ball, it's what you do with it that counts. A defence splitting through-ball is just as important as a 50 yard run up the wing.
- Don't worry defenders, we didn't forget about you - match saving tackles and those all important clearances, or as we call them in the trade "lumps up field", will also be rewarded whether they end up being a pin point pass or a ball into space.
