Fame farming being a thing of the past
Player animation Improvements
The animations in Football Superstars have undergone a makeover since the last release, giving more realism to the game. Frames have been removed to allow players to turn sharply, move on and off the ball with more power and to increase the reaction time of players and goalkeepers alike!
Goalkeeper Improvements
Goalkeepers have not escaped the wrath of the animator's hand! Quite the opposite, we have taken feedback from our community and made them more like their Premier League counterparts. New and improved back pedal animations (running backwards) mean he is far quicker to get back onto his line, making him much more effective at dealing with the lobbed headers.
We have also sent our keepers to the gym, building up his previously not-very-strong arms. Shots are now carried away further, reducing the chances of rebounds always falling to the opposition striker.
Shooting Accuracy & Kicking Power
Again, we have listened to our players and both of these statistics have had some heavy reworking done at the top end of the scale. Long range shots are going to be much harder to get on target, reducing the number of "canon-ball" goals we know you dislike.
Playing Football Superstars is now going to rely solely on good team work and build up play - players will now be rewarded based on their SKILL rather than simply their avatar's huge stats.
Non-stop play
Before now, set pieces such as corners, free kicks, goal kicks, and throw-ons, meant a pause in the game. No more!
From now on, you retain full movement control of your Superstar giving you more time to get yourself into position and set up your formation - a great help for all PMC teams!
Fame Farming is no more
No-one likes standing around, and we see no reason to encourage it. With a new match finder designed to get people into games faster, we want to make sure that people are playing matches and not just wasting valuable playing time standing in clubs and bars.
To keep the number of games going and to prevent "farming", fame is no longer earned by spending time in bars. Yes, you can still boost your fame by buying drinks, but to get your thirst back up you'll have to get onto the pitch and play.
