Fansites
FSRis no more. The FS community's resident journalist extraordinaire, BigBubbs, has decided to pull the plug on the recently revived FSR Online, his own multi-media news site. However all is not lost as he has gone back to the drawing board and come back with something bigger and better than ever. As such, FS Sports Network is rising from the ashes of FSR.
In the man's own words:
"FSROnline was originally planned and based around a Radio Show (The R in FSR). But now as the media is going to be based more on videos than sound, FSROnline is no longer relevant. So, hence the launch of FS Sports Network.
On the FSS Network you will find.
- News from the FS League and PMCs
- Video Highlights
- Links to Other Community Sites
- Matches with Commentary
If you have any suggestions or would like to help with the new Network, then email me bigbubbs@fssports.net Alternatively visit http://www.fssports.net"
If that weren't enough for you, we have yet another great return in the shape of FS Inside. Jordyvdboom originally envisaged the site as something of a networking hub for players and PMCs. However he is now taking the concept further:
"In the new concept we will be known as a news site of Monumental Games. Here you can find the latest news inside and outside the games, interviews with project leaders/community leaders and many more. If everything is going well we want to create a monthly magazine where you can find a lot of surprises!"
Club Closures
It would appear that the Drama Llama has been running amok in the Superstar League.
The last week has seen the Superstar League rocked by scandal. First came rumours of corruption in the upper echelons of many clubs, then accusations against agent to the stars Gio Grabbi. All of this stemmed from a source calling himself Derfel, who claimed to have information which would rock the league and so contacted the media to encourage them to break the story.
Well, his information proved to be bang on the money. As a result, ten of the fourteen clubs in the superstar league were closed down pending a full investigation.
Whoever this Derfel character is, it is clear that he has a great love for the beautiful game and will all within his power to see it remain so. Whoever you are, sir, we give you our thanks. ^_-
Goal of the Month
If you've been keeping half an eye on the forums, then quite frankly you are a freak who really needs hospital attention. Half an eye? Ew. If, however, you've been responsible and have been using both eyes as recommended by medical professionals and have been reading the forums, then you will no doubt be aware of the Goal of the Month competition.
The first ran through the month of March. We had over 150 entries which we have since whittled down to a shortlist of five potential winners. Now it's your turn. You need to decide which is the greatest out of five really great goals of greatness. You can view these goals by checking out the Goal of the Month section on the front page (rather obvious really) and then cast your vote.
Sometimes something comes across which is so pure, and so beautiful, something very much like the March Goal of the Month competition, that people look upon it and say it cannot be replicated. I say these people weren't trying hard enough.
As such we have gone back to the drawing board, slaved away in our secret design studio and we are proud to give you the next great evolutionary step in contests. I proudly present to you... the April Goal of the Month contest! You may think it is the same as the March contest, but you would be wrong! Very, very wrong! For this one will take place, not in March, but in APRIL! I know. We were impressed too. Head over to the thread on the forums to find out how you can have your name writ in the stars by getting your submissions in.
