Roberto Mancini looking forward to Carlos Tevez return

10th May 2011 - Sigvard Magnus

Manchester City football manager Roberto Mancini expects to be able to use Carlos Tevez as a substitute against Tottenham tonight (May 10th).

The Argentine striker has been out of action for a month after limping off with a torn hamstring at Liverpool.

With Manchester City able to seal their qualification for next season's Champions League with a win over Spurs at Eastlands, football manager Mancini will be keen to have his star forward on the pitch, even if it is only for a late cameo.

"Carlos can probably be on the bench," said Mancini, who refuses to think ahead to the FA Cup final this weekend.

"It is like having two finals in a week. This is the problem, but now we should try to win against Tottenham," he said.

The FA Cup showpiece against Stoke on May 14th will be City's first final since 1981, when they lost in a replay to Spurs.
