Agreement for Tevez transfer reached with Corinthians
18th July 2011 - Chad Lazarus
Manchester City football manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that the club has reached an agreement with Corinthians to sell Carlos Tevez.
Last week, City rejected a £40 million bid for the Argentinian international, though Mancini has now told Sky Sports News that the two teams have come to a compromise.
Speaking to the news provider during the club's pre-season tour of North America, Mancini said: "We have an agreement with Corinthians but Carlos now is still a City player."
When questioned if Tevez would be discussing personal terms, the manager stated that he did not know, before reiterating that the striker remains a Manchester City player for the time being.
Tevez was integral to Manchester City's football games last season, as he finished as the Premier League's joint-top scorer with a total of 20 goals.
Speculation around the frontman's future has dominated the tabloids this summer, though it is believed that City have placed a £50 million price tag on his head.
