Feature 7: Player Managed Clubs
There are a number of ways that participants of the Football Superstars world will be able to take part in competitive and non competitive footy, kickabout matches and the FS Club system have been discussed significantly on the forums. The third match type we will launch with is no less significant than the previous two.
Player Managed Clubs (PMC) allow an individual (or group of players) to purchase their very own football club. The owner will be able to name the club, design their badge and team strip before relaxing in his very own Football Superstars club house with views of a private pitch and their very own managers office!
As a player that has climbed to the giddy heights of manager you will want to recruit others into your team and allow them to marvel at your polished floors, mirrored ceilings and personal bar, not least to bask in the glory of your new acquisition but primarily to get enough players to become the greatest PMC in the (FS) world !!!
Once formed managers will be able to recruit players they meet to their team, potentially promoting them to a number of hierarchical positions within the club such as scout or captain affording a number of rights to help you manage the team. As soon as you have your players and have had a pre game pep talk its time to challenge other PMC's either to one off matches, or enter a your squad/s into the seasonal rating system that will require coaches to ensure their players are training, learning to play as a cohesive unit.
Scouts can be tasked with discovering new talent for the team, querying the ISpot database for players, reviewing their replays before making them an offer to join the team. Whilst a number of managers may organise cup or mini league tournaments (which we will of course help you to do with resources and assets to get you on your way).
Before a PMC match begins, the usefulness of the ISpot and library system may once again separate a well run PMC from a poorly one. PMC members can review replays of their opposition before the match, defenders watching the style and method of attack from the midfielders and strikers. Strikers looking for holes in the oppositions defence.
Suddenly the realisation that you're not managing a mass of numbers and statistics, but that you are running a real team of real people sinks in...
Think you have what it takes to run a football team?
Prove that you are the best manager in the Football Superstars world!!!
