Feature 1: Football engine controls part I
It has always been our aim to create a massively multiplayer online world that brings more than just a lobby to play casual football (although that’s possible too). The football engine will totally immerse the player and ensure they feel the excitement of a big game and feel very much part of a team.
We have taken some of the camera principals of a First person shooter and applied a simulation mind-set to the animations of each character to create a game we feel is a very true replication of the beautiful game whilst giving the control fidelity that you would expect from a fast paced shooter.
It is critical too that the game is ultimately fun to play, easy to pick up and provides a depth of control to allow mastery like no other football game to date. We will be introducing you to the progression choices you will have as a player in future updates. Over time, it will be possible to train yourself to perform a number of awe inspiring feats, from a Cruyff turn to scissor kicks.
