Celtic football manager Lennon signs new deal

21st June 2011 - Alma Shera

Celtic's football manager Neil Lennon has agreed a new 12-month rolling contract with the Scottish club.

Lennon had been working on a six-month rolling contract since taking over as caretaker manager during the 2009/10 season, though this new agreement is set to make his reign continue for at least another year.

Speaking to Celtic's official website, he said: "I am absolutely delighted to agree this new contract with the club. I have had ten great years connected to Celtic and I hope to enjoy many more."

Lennon also stressed that he will do everything he possibly can to bring more success to the club.

As well as this, he thanked fans for the "crucial role" they played last season.

Lennon will be hoping to capture the Scottish Premier League title in the new season, after Celtic lost out on the top spot to their arch rivals Rangers in the most recent campaign.
