Romelu Lukaku going to Chelsea?
20th July 2011 - Sigvard Magnus
Anderlecht's general football manager Herman van Holsbeeck has reopened speculation that Romelu Lukaku could play football games for Chelsea next season.
Speaking to BBC Sport, van Hoslbeeck explained that the two clubs are talking to each other about a possible deal.
He told the broadcaster: "There is still a long way to go in the negotiations.
"We are indeed negotiating with Chelsea, but there are other clubs we are talking to."
While Chelsea are believed to have offered an undisclosed fee for the Belgian international, speculation has turned to who the Blues may dispose of to make space for the player in the squad.
Manchester City and Arsenal have also been linked to the player, who was top scorer in the 2009/10 season in Belgium, despite only being 18 years old.
There have been suggestions that Chelsea could let youngster Daniel Sturridge move on to make way for the Belgian, with Everton and Bolton both having shown an interest in the England player.
