Theo Walcott to miss Carling Cup final football game

24th February 2011 - Berko Tau

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott will miss out on playing in Sunday's Carling Cup final football game, when the Gunners take on Birmingham.

This will add to the club's injury woes, who may also be without captain Cesc Fabregas for the key clash.

Football manager Arsene Wenger revealed his frustration at the new injury, sustained during Arsenal's 1-0 victory in a football game against Stoke.

Wenger did not commit to whether Theo would miss future football games, but confirmed that the youngster will definitely miss Sunday's clash.

Speaking after last night's game, the Frenchman said: "Fabregas has a hamstring problem. We will assess that tomorrow.

"It is impossible to see how serious it is tonight. We will know tomorrow."

Aresnal's only goal in last night's clash was scored by Sebastien Squillaci. The victory takes them to within one point of league leaders Manchester United, who have a game in hand.
