Robin van Persie set to return against Barcelona?

8th March 2011 - Alma Shera

Arsenal football manager Arsene Wenger could have a surprise inclusion in his squad to face Barcelona tonight (March 8th) - Dutch forward Robin van Persie.

The striker was injured after scoring in the Carling Cup Final defeat to Birmingham, and was initially expected to be out for three weeks.

But van Persie has made a shock recovery and could be set to play at the Camp Nou in the Champions League last 16, just nine days after damaging his knee.

Football manager Wenger denied van Persie's inclusion in the travelling party was a mind game to try to unsettle the hosts' preparations.

"It is no mind game - I am not good at those. Personally I would like him to play if possible, but I will only play him if he is 100 per cent fit," he said.

Captain Cesc Fabregas is 90 per cent certain to play against his boyhood club, after missing a number of soccer games with a hamstring injury.
