Mario Balotelli must change his ways, says football manager
1st April 2011 - Sigvard Magnus
Manchester City football manager Roberto Mancini insists that star striker Mario Balotelli will ruin his career in England unless he mends his ways.
The temperamental star has had a number of disciplinary problems, with red cards on the pitch being accompanied by bad behaviour - the forward has just been disciplined by his club for throwing darts out of a window at members of the city youth team.
Now his football manager has told him that his "immense" abilities will be totally wasted unless he learns to control himself.
Mancini explained: "I understand him. He is 20 years old, and at that age people can do stupid things.
"But maybe now the time has come for him to help himself, and to understand the mistakes he is making."
Balotelli has been involved in controversy throughout his career. He sparked anger among fans of his previous club, Internazionale, after repeatedly being seen wearing a shirt of city rivals AC Milan.
