Manchester United welcome back Nani for Marseille tie
15th March 2011 - Alma Shera
Manchester United football manager Sir Alex Ferguson will welcome back Portuguese winger Nani for the Champions League tie against Marseille tonight (March 15th).
It was originally feared that the player could miss up to four weeks of football games after suffering a severely gashed leg.
Nani had to be stretchered off during United's 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield nine days ago, following a dangerous studs-up tackle from Jamie Carragher.
However, it seems the injury is not as bad as first thought, and football manager Ferguson can now bring him in to the second leg match against Marseille, with the tie poised at 0-0.
Ferguson will be glad to have one of his key performers back in the side, recognising the fact that the French champions will provide a stern test.
"It's going to be a hard game, but it's always a terrific atmosphere at Old Trafford, that does help us," he said.
United returned to winning ways by beating Arsenal 2-0 in the FA Cup on Saturday (March 12th), after having lost their previous two soccer games against Chelsea and Liverpool.
