Kenny Dalglish delighted with Manchester United victory

7th March 2011 - Alma Shera

Liverpool football manager Kenny Dalglish has described his side's 3-1 win over Manchester United yesterday (March 6th) as the "highlight of the season".

Dalglish's team were much the better side against a jaded United side, with three goals from Dirk Kuyt sealing the win before Javier Hernandez got a late consolation for the visitors.

After a Liverpool's season of turmoil and takeovers, as well as the departure of Fernando Torres, football manager Dalglish was keen to savour the win over the Reds' bitter rivals.

"It has been a difficult season for Liverpool - that has been the highlight, but we're not finished yet. Everyone enjoyed the day and I think they deserved to win," he said.

Having lost to United in the FA Cup back in January, Liverpool will not play next weekend.

The club's next two football games will therefore take place in the Europa League, with two legs against Portuguese side SC Braga.
