Gael Clichy completes move to Man City
5th July 2011 - Sigvard Magnus
Gael Clichy will now play football games for Manchester City after completing a move to Eastlands from Arsenal.
The Frenchman recently passed a medical and has racked up valuable Premier League experience, playing a total of 264 games for the London club since his arrival in August 2003.
Commenting on the transfer, Clichy said: “I'm really happy to be joining such a great club. I hope I can add to the quality we already have here because we have a fantastic squad who I believe will continue to get better."
Clichy also noted that he cannot wait to begin playing for his new team and expressed that anything is possible with the squad.
The left-back is Roberto Mancini's first signing of the summer and has put pen to paper on a four-year contract.
Manchester City have been linked with a number of other players since the season's climax, including Udinese's Alexis Sanchez.
