Football manager Mancini insists Manchester City are mentally strong

15th February 2011 - Alma Shera

Manchester City football manager Roberto Mancini has called on his players to prove they have mental resilience in their Europa League tie.

The Italian football manager does not believe his side has a mentality problem, although he realises it can be difficult to bounce back from a disappointing defeat.

City lost 2-1 at bitter local rivals Manchester United last weekend, although Mancini's men played well and will have felt that they deserved to win the game.

"When you have played so well away from home, when you think you have deserved to win but you lose, it can be very hard. It's important for us that we have a game so quickly and we need to go on a run now," said football manager Mancini.

The Premier League's other Europa League representatives, Liverpool, will take on Sparta Prague on Thursday (February 17th), as they look to continue their improvement under football manager Kenny Dalglish.
