Football manager Ferguson set to play strong team against Blackpool?
20th May 2011 - Berko Tau
Manchester United football manager Sir Alex Ferguson has announced that he will start a number of his strongest players against Blackpool this Sunday (May 22nd).
The champions will play in the Champions League final against Barcelona on May 28th, though Ferguson has stated that he will not just pick inexperienced players on Sunday, in what is a crucial game for Blackpool's hopes of Premiership survival.
Ferguson said: "Edwin van der Sar, Darren Fletcher, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, Anderson, Dimitar Berbatov will play."
The manager has been criticised in the past for putting out younger players.
Ferguson also stated that he wants to end the season in winning style to commemorate Edwin Van der Sar's departure from the club.
Blackpool have a lot at stake in the game, as they are embroiled in a five-way battle for survival with Wigan, Blackburn, Wolves and Birmingham.
