Football manager Dalglish hails Liverpool resurgence
10th May 2011 - Berko Tau
Liverpool football manager Kenny Dalglish believes his players can be proud of the way they have finished their season.
The Reds are one of the league's most in-form team, scoring another five goals to crush Fulham at Craven Cottage last night (May 9th).
Despite sitting in 12th position when Dalglish took over as football manager in January, the club are now two points clear of Tottenham in fifth position, which comes with a place in the Europa League.
He said: "Nobody would ever have anticipated the run that the boys have been on since January, would they? It's been unbelievable.
"Even if we don't get fifth, they've been absolutely fantastic. For us, the position hasn't been as important as the response of the players."
Liverpool even have an outside chance of securing a place in the Champions League, although the Reds will need to win their last two matches and hope Manchester City only take two points from their final three soccer games.
