England football manager gets results with formation switch

England football manager Fabio Capello was satisfied with they way his team played in a new 4-3-3 formation against Wales on Saturday (March 26th).
With much of the talk before the game centring on whether Arsenal's Jack Wilshere would oust Chelsea's Frank Lampard from the starting line-up, Capello sprung a surprise by including both, alongside West Ham's Scott Parker.
Darren Bent of Aston Villa was the lone striker, supported from the wide positions by clubmate Ashley Young and Manchester United's Wayne Rooney.
After seeing his side in control for much of the game while securing a 2-0 win, football manager Capello was pleased.
"We played really well, we passed the ball quickly and created chances to score goals with no chances for Wales," he said.
"This formation is really good because some players like Ashley Young are improving a lot."
The match against Wales also saw Chelsea captain John Terry wear the England armband for the first time since being reinstated by Capello.
