Carlos Tevez battling for FA Cup final place
6th May 2011 - Berko Tau
Manchester City football manager Roberto Mancini admits that star striker Carlos Tevez is running out of time in his bid to be fit for the FA Cup final.
Tevez has been out of action with a hamstring injury for a month, and only has two games to prove his fitness ahead of the Wembley showpiece against Stoke on May 14th.
Football manager Mancini has confirmed that he will not play Tevez unless the player gets some game time in the next week.
He explained: "It's very difficult for him to play against Everton [on Saturday May 7th].
"If he doesn't play against Tottenham [Tuesday May 10th], it will be impossible for Carlos to play in the final."
However, full-back Micah Richards could return to the substitutes bench against Everton, giving himself a chance of making the team at Wembley.
The game against Stoke will be City's first cup final since 1981, when they lost in a replay to Tottenham Hotspur.
