Kenny's favourite Charlie Adam finallly signs for Liverpool
8th July 2011 - Berko Tau
Liverpool football manager Kenny Dalglish has finalised the signing of Blackpool's Charlie Adam.
The playmaker will join Jordan Henderson in a new-look squad for next season's football games.
Having passed his medical, the Scot has brought an end to months of speculation about where he would be heading following Blackpool's relegation from the Premier League.
The 25-year-old was always going to have preferred to play his football in the top flight, having been integral to many of Blackpool's standout performances throughout last year's campaign.
Dalglish has long been a fan of Adam, but will now turn his attention to securing the services of Aston Villa's highly rated left winger Stewart Downing.
Aston Villa have so far shown no sign of moving to make Downing available for purchase, but this may not deter the Liverpool football manager.
Downing has played just two seasons with Villa, having joined when former club Middlesbrough were relegated from the Premier League in 2009.
