Jack Wilshere: Manchester United will drop points following FA Cup loss
19th April 2011 - Alma Shera
Arsenal's Jack Wilshere believes that Manchester United will drop points in their upcoming football games, after crashing out of the FA Cup to local rivals Manchester City.
The midfielder is hopeful that this will provide the Gunners with the impetus they need to go on and win the Premier League title.
Arsenal and football manager Arsene Wenger recently suffered their own slump in form, following their disappointing Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona.
Wilshere explained: "We are confident United will drop points. We suffered after we lost to Barca in the Champions League. It was a hard two weeks for us and now the same can happen to United."
He added that the upcoming European game between the Red Devils and Schalke will cause Sir Alex Ferguson's team to lose focus.
Wilshere has been in impressive form during Arsenal's run of football games across all competitions this season, which led to him being named the Professional Footballers' Association Young Player of the Year.
Tottenham winger Gareth Bale, who has also impressed in the Champions League and Premiership, won Player of the Year.
