As you would have seen from recent communications, we have officially partnered with Sheffield FC, the World’s oldest Football Team as recognised by FIFA. All of us at Football Superstars recognise exactly how much Sheffield FC have given to the game, and decided that partnering with a team who work by the same values as ourselves, as well as an organisation that has given so much to football would be the perfect fit.

What does this partnership mean?
What we would love from the Football Superstars community is for you all to ‘adopt’ Sheffield FC as your second team! To encourage this we will be closely following them throughout the season, posting match reports on how the first team are getting on, running interviews with players and the staff behind the scenes, and encouraging as many of you as possible to go and watch them if you’re in the area (we have negotiated a 50% discount on ticket prices for all the FS Community). Boots For Africa
Even though Sheffield FC invented the game so many millions of people watch and play today, they are not content to rest on their laurels and are constantly look for new ways to give back to the football community. Their “Boots For Africa” campaign (in partnership with McDonalds) is a perfect example of how this can be achieved.
Between now and the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, SFC have committed to delivering 2 MILLION pairs of football boots to Africa in a bid to enable those that are less well off to play without restrictions. In order for them to reach this target, they are appealing to anyone that has a pair of football boots that are in decent condition to give them a clean, tie them together and send them to the club so that they can be transported to Africa and donated to kids living in some of the poorest areas of the world. Don’t have a spare pair of boots lying about? No worries, there is an official Boots For Africa boot-bag that is available to purchase for £2 with all profits going to the cause.
